At the 2024 Blackpool Magic Convention, New Wave by Spanish magician Víctor Sanz was shown to João Miranda, who was immediately fooled and clueless about the method. When João found out the secret, he fell even more in love with the trick. Even the legendary Dani DaOrtiz was fooled. The Effect:
Your spectator freely names any value, from Ace to King. You remove a set of cards from your wallet, which holds not only the cards but also your cash and bank cards, enhancing its authentic look. Then, the spectator is asked to select a color, and then a suit. As the cards are spread in your hands, the spectator's chosen card is the only one face-up among the others. But the astonishment doesn't end there: it's the only card with a red back, while the others have blue backs, and they are blank on the face: these cards were never real!
